Fall Foliage Photography Workshop

Join us on this full day fall foliage photography workshop. We will start with doing a photowalk through Harriman State Park where we will focus on:
Developing a Creative Vision
Understanding Composition
Using Shapes, Textures, and Light
Capturing Long Exposures and Motion
Sorting, Critiquing, and Editing using Adobe Lightroom
What's included:
Professional landscape photographer guidance and location expertise
In the field instruction on mastering photography skills
Post processing session will include a demonstration of sorting and editing in Adobe Lightroom
Lunch at a local restaurant
What should I expect?
We will start with a photo walk in Harriman State Park. We will give all participants the opportunity to shoot and capture beautiful rivers, forests and fields. We will guide you through different photography techniques, camera settings and how to use filters to properly expose your shots. We will also spend a good amount of time on photo composition and developing your own style so your photos will tell your story to the viewer. We have a group lunch at a local restaurant and continue with our editing lesson.
Group size will be kept small (approx. 8 participants) to afford each participant one-on-one instruction both in the field and in the classroom for post editing.
What should I bring?
Upon signing up we will send everyone a detailed equipment and material list. The basic gear everyone should have is a digital SLR camera body, tripod and a variety of lens. Laptops are recommend to help you fully learn to edit on your own system.
We will be outside walking/hiking for the photography portion so it is advised for you to dress in layers and wear proper footwear. Temperatures and conditions can change so it is best to be prepared.
We also recommend bringing a water and snack to stay hydrated and happy.
