The Creative Exposure
Join the January Creative Kickstart.
First Month Free.
We are kicking off the Creative Exposure Challenge: a free for the month of January.
How it works
Each week you’ll get one Challenge that is designed to be doable, but creatively stretching. You’ll shoot the challenge, then share your image with the group to stay accountable and get inspired by what others create. Any camera is welcomed.
You have 1 week to work on each challenge starting Sundays at 8am ET and ending Saturdays at 11:59pm ET.
What you’ll build in January
You will strengthen your creative instincts, train your eye, and start showing up consistently, without getting overwhelmed or stuck in perfectionism.
It’s free for all of January while I run this as a live beta and refine the experience based on what you want most. At the end of the month, I’ll share what’s next and offer a few ways to continue if you want to keep the momentum. Join now and let’s grow together.
Week 1 Challenge drops Sunday, January 4th.
Sign up now and I’ll send you the first challenge when it goes live!
Night Photo Summit
Night Photo Summit: Feb 13-15, 2026
This amazing online conference will teach you everything you need to know about night photography with more than 35 presenters, 40 plus classes, and a panel discussion and image reviews. Join me for my presentation on: Urban Nights: Turning City Glow into Art on Saturday Feb 14th at 5pm.
You do not need dark skies to create night magic. Susan Magnano will teach a repeatable long-exposure workflow for turning city glow, reflections and motion into distinctive images. Learn how to achieve blue-hour balance, clean light trails, controlled blur and kinetic techniques.
Luminescent Portraits in Nevada
Join us and learn how to create unique light painting portraits with light tubes, light wands, light blades and strobes. This is a light painting intensive class where we will be shooting in a variety of epic locations like a ghost town, dry lake bed and even the Las Vegas strip! You will learn the skills and techniques on how to create unique portraits anywhere.
We will supply a variety of different tools so that you can become familiar with different light techniques. This will be a hands on workshop and our goal is to give you the experience so you leave feeling like a light painting master. Embrace the true artist within you and lets paint the night.
9/11 Tribute Lights in NJ
Join me in New Jersey for a unique opportunity to capture the powerful 9/11 tribute lights. We'll visit multiple locations to experience the lights from various angles, allowing us to capture their solemn beauty in different ways. Please note that space is limited for this event.
This day holds deep significance as a day of remembrance, and as a gesture of respect and support, a donation from this workshop will be made to the NYC Firemen.
Only four spots are available. Our meeting spot will be at Liberty State Park.
The Dolomites
Take part in an epic adventure through what has been called the most beautiful mountains in the world.
The Dolomites offer a landscape photography experience like no other place in the world. This workshop will have you photographing landscapes like you never have before. We won’t just be photographing the mountains, we’ll be sleeping on their peaks, in cozy and immaculate mountain huts called rifugios, waking up to capture the sunrise above the clouds.
Autumn in Acadia
Join us for a 5-day immersive photography tour through the breathtaking landscapes of Acadia National Park, timed perfectly for peak fall foliage. This is more than just a photo trip—it’s a creative escape where you’ll chase autumn color, elevate your photography, and refine your editing skills in a supportive, inspiring environment.
Each day will take us to a new scenic gem—rugged coastlines, mirror-like lakes, mountain overlooks, and the park’s iconic carriage roads and forests ablaze with color. From golden hour to blue hour, we’ll be chasing the best light and most dramatic scenes.
Along the way, we’ll explore:
Fall Landscape Photography – Composition, exposure, and storytelling through color
Long Exposures & Water Movement – Capture silky streams and reflective lakes
Creative Use of Light – Shooting in different conditions and harnessing natural elements
Post-Processing Sessions – Daily opportunities to review, edit, and fine-tune your images with expert guidance
We will gather for casual editing sessions, where you’ll get feedback, learn Lightroom techniques, and bring your vision to life. Whether you’re shooting wide with a landscape lens or going intimate with fall details, you’ll walk away with a portfolio you’re proud of—and new skills to keep growing.
