Join me on a scenic photo walk through NYC’s west side—where architecture, river views, and golden hour light come together in the most photogenic way. We’ll start at the striking Vessel, explore the High Line’s unique angles, and end at Pier 57, where you’ll capture sweeping views of the Hudson and (if we’re lucky) a spectacular sunset. This walk is perfect for sharpening your composition skills, finding fresh perspectives, and getting inspired by the city’s ever-changing light.

Start your day with an unforgettable sunrise photo walk across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge.

Join photographer Susan Magnano as we capture the first light of day as it rises over Brooklyn and bathes the Manhattan skyline in a warm morning glow. This photo walk is designed to inspire creativity while exploring one of NYC’s most photogenic landmarks.

We’ll begin on the bridge, photographing its stunning architecture and leading lines, then make our way back to DUMBO to capture the soft morning light reflecting off Manhattan’s skyline.

Along the way, we’ll explore:

• Sunrise Photography techniques and best exposure settings

• Architectural Compositions using framing, angles, and depth

• Long Exposures with ND Filters for motion blur and dramatic effects

• Storytelling Through Light & Shadow at golden hour

We’ll wrap up the morning by heading to a nearby café for a warm cup of coffee, where we’ll review our shots and share stories from the walk.

Let’s discover the incredible architecture the World Trade Center featuring the Oculus, 9/11 Memorial and Fulton Station. The World Trade Center is one of of lower Manhattan's must-see landmarks and we will be photographing both interior and exteriors. We will start outside exploring the grounds of the World Trade Center and enjoy the last bit of sunlight as it creates shadows on the street and cascades around the oculus.

Then we will head inside and we will focus on the artistic principles of compositions with symmetry, framing and balance. We will encourage you to try shooting in black and white to get creative with abstract closeups of the architecture.  This adventure will have you seeing architecture photography in a new way.

Autumn in Central Park

Let’s explore the beautiful colors of autumn in Central Park.

We’ll explore:

• The North Woods and Ravine

• The Loch and its waterfalls

• Rustic bridges and stone arches

• Fall reflections and flowing water

• Woodland paths framed by autumn foliage

• Rocks, leaves, textures and intimate landscapes

• Creative compositions using color, layers and depth

We will photographing the pond, the North Woods. This workshop will teach the fundamentals of photographing: nature photography, composition, leading lines and understanding lighting. We will also get creative with Long Exposure & Motion with ND Filter.

Join us on a photo adventure at the gorgeous Governors Island. The ferry ride alone is worth the trip and once we are there you will be photographing some of the best views of Manhattan. We will work on composition, framing, and long exposures to create unique cityscapes. We will have a model join us and show you how to create dynamic natural light portraits with the help of reflectors. We will stay to photograph the sunset and city light start to twinkle on before catching the ferry back. This is a unique opportunity to do light painting with Manhattan in the back ground.

This photowalk is limited to the first 10 people who sign up.

Join me on a special evening in Dumbo as we capture the unique beauty of Manhattan's sunset and the enchanting blue hour when the city's lights come to life. We will also focus on light painting and will have a talented dancer strike poses to create stunning unique visuals. There's a chance we might witness the September 11 Memorial Lights, adding to the excitement of the night.
